Depois do presidente Obama ter alterado a sua política no que respeita à forma de tratar judicialmente os detidos de Guantánamo, a má, aproximando-se da política de George W. Bush nesta matéria - o que só lhe fica bem (ao Obama, quero eu dizer) -, desta feita é o congresso que se vem opor ao fecho das referidas instalações prisionais - nas quais os Uighur têm direito a videos editados para não expor as suas exacerbadas sensibilidades à contemplação de braços femininos (não fosse dar-se o caso de os braços da Primeira-Dama serem, pela enésima vez, notícia em qualquer televisão)1).
Ao contrário da notícia, não me parece que isto seja uma contrariedade para Obama nesta matéria, antes pelo contrário: perante isto, pode assacar responsabilidades ao congresso e assim eximir-se de cumprir esta promessa feita na campanha eleitoral e logo após a tomada de posse.
